MEET OUR BILLY MATTHEWS
Billy Matthews is a twenty year old delinquent who’s fallen into drunken ways. After being kicked out by his Mum, Julie, he wanders the streets of Portsmouth and encounters Bill. Billy joins Bill on a day of drunken antics, but the truth soon comes out – Bill is Billy’s father that walked out twenty years ago. Billy is reckless, confident and outgoing, but he hides a fragile interior that comes out once he comes face to face with his father. We see how much Bill’s absence affected Billy, and how he’s seemingly following in his footsteps.
Jacob Bailey is a British actor based in Portsmouth, specialising in theatre and stage plays. Jacob is best known for his work in productions of Dick Whittington and Grease, but has also recently stepped behind the curtain to work as Production Assistant on the upcoming production of Annie. This film was Jacob’s first array from stage plays into film and he did incredibly well to bring the character of Billy to life!
